OVERVIEW

The magnetic proximity switch, SMC012 L NO SP, operates through reed contacts. These contacts consist of thin plates enclosed in a glass bulb with inert gas, responding readily to magnetic induction. When magnetic attraction occurs, the plates flex, making contact and establishing an electrical connection.
