FEATURES

USE ON PRESSURISED MACHINERY: level sensors with threaded connection that don’t
have a pressurised housing are not subject to the pressure equipment directive,
according to Article 2, Point 5 of the directive 2014/68/EU that defines pressure
accessories as “devices with an operational function and having pressure-bearing
housings”. As these level sensors have no pressurized housing, then they are not a
pressure-bearing equipment in the sense of the directive.
